Lecture-cum-Demonstration by Ms. Saskia Rao-de-Haas, renowned virtuoso cellist and composer, organized under the auspices of SPIC MACAY.
Silver Line Prestige School was filled with the resonance of fine musical tunes. The school was honoured by the gracious presence of world renowned Cellist, Ms. Saskia Rao de-Haas, who enriched the students by her virtuosity in the Indian Cello, in a Lecture cum demonstration organized under the prestigious musical banner of SPIC-MACAY.
The programme started with traditional lighting of lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana presented by the school choir.
The maestro was accompanied on table by Pt. Priyanshu Chaturlal, the disciple and grandson of renowned Table artist Pt. Chaturlal. Ms. Saskia Rao de Hass beautifully exhibited her expertise on the cello through demonstration concluded her performance by presenting a musical tune which was a perfect blend of scottish and Indian notes. After the performance, she answered the questions asked by the students. Her reverence for the India classical music was truly awe-inspiring for the audience.
The event was graced by the presence of Hon’ble members of management including
Ms. Babita Jain, Ms. Monica Jain along with Ms. Abha Bansal, the co-ordinator of the Ghaziabad Chapter of SPIC MACAY. Director Principal, Dr. Mala Kapoor and Director Operations, Dr. Mangala Vaid joined in for presenting mementos and saplings as a token of appreciation to the artists. The programme was concluded with the motivational words of the Director Principal who focused on the rich cultural heritage of the country and encouraged the students to recognize and nurture their musical aptitude.
