Concerts Norway World Virasat 2013 presented by Titanic String Quartet

The precincts of Silver Line School reverberated with music of the romantic era last week in a concert by Titanic String Quartet organised under the ageis of SPIC MACAY Concert Norway. The artists BJARNE MAGNUS JENSEN (Violin), VEGARD JOHNSEN (Violin), JON SOENSTE BOE (Violin), AUDUN SANDVIK (Cello), enthralled the audience with their lively performance.   The Titanic String Quartet played extracts of composition of famous western composers:- Franz Schubert (Austria) Antonio Vivaldi (Italy) Ludvig Van Beetthoven (Titanic String Quartet) Dmitri Shostakovitch (Russia), Joseph Haydn (Austria) Giacomo Puccini (Italy). It is said ‘music transcends all borders’ and the maxim was brought to live in Silver Line School. The highlight of the program was the soulful rendition of famous song ‘my heart will go on’ from movie ‘Titanic’ by budding singer Paridhi Saxena of cl X. She was very well supported by The Titanic String Quartet. Later all the audience joined in to sing. Our foreign friends freely interacted with the students and the children reciprocated their sentiments.
